Israel’s booming hi-tech and startup scene has now been long enough known to anyone connected to innovation, new technology and entrepreneurship. However, what most people will not have heard about is Israel’s growing creative industries sector. The explanation is clear - Israel's biggest tech success until recently has been with companies or products that most of you will not have heard about (or how many of you have actually taken apart your home computer's motherboard to study all its parts?).
The summer is only about to finish, but as far as the fashion industry is concerned business is on. Next week all industry eyes will be on New York, where Mercedes Benz Fashion Week is going open the Fashion Week session and we can already start looking forward to the many reports and images spilling from this trend-setting event, followed by others around the globe.
With the global season of Fashion Weeks now coming to an end it is worth analyzing how the connection of seemingly two completely different industries - those of Fashion and Technology - will continue influencing the fashion business and ultimately have an impact on all of us who have the habit of leaving the house dressed.
This year's World Economic Forum in #Davos was another gathering of the wealthiest and mostly very self-centered gents club. While, admittedly, most of them might have been fairly well dressed, discussing the challenges and future of the fashion industry was hardly on the minds of these elite citizens of the world.
